Do I need an upgrade kit to upgrade to Windows 7?
I have a Sony VAIO (VGN-NW150J). I bought Best Buy on 15/09/2009. I'm wanting to upgrade to Windows 7, so I'm still able to get it free. He told me that I have not need to send proof of purchase if I'm just the companion disc, but I do if I need upgrade kit. I do not know if I ordered / need the upgrade kit.
The Companion disc does not contain the operating system Windows 7. If you want Windows 7, you need to order the upgrade kit and thus may provide proof of purchase. Cheers, Walker Windows Outreach Team
