Boat lists to starboard when on plane and pulls to port on deceleration.?
I am a very new boat owner. The boat is a 1987 Intruder. It is 20′ with a 260HP 5.7 V8 Merc with a alpha one out drive. The prop is in Good Condition with a few small nicks but nothing major. I have gotten advice to replace the prop and/or get power trim tabs. I was hoping for something a little more concrete on what to do. Even hoping it may be a adjustment that can be made. Thanks!
You may have a small adjustment fin on the drive to adjust for the prop torque. Have a mechanic check it if you do not feel comfortable. Move it a notch at a time until you have the ride you want.
Make sure you have the load balanced before you change anything.
