What do I need to do to fix my DVD-recorder, so that it will program cable channels? I have DIRECT TV.?
The DVD-Recorder doesn’t seem to recognize the cable channels when I go to set the channels using the DVD remote. Also, the local channels come in blurry, when they are preset with the DVD remote.
Make sure your DTV line is not running through your dvd player. I assume your DVD in on Vidio 1 and DTV is on video 2 or something like that. When trying to use the dvd for cable channels, make sure your dtv box is completly shut off.
In the MENU for your dvd player should be settings for CATV/ANT make sure that is selected when you try to update the cable channels.
