Power Meter
I just changed the battery in my laptop and sometimes by bicycle, why my meter level to reduce power load during AC?

I have a Compaq 1700, the battery seems to have died recently because I left the laptop 'always on'. Battery was replaced and recycled several times. Now, I can only use my computer without interruption for about 1.5 hours because when I plug AC load is light, but in fact the electricity meter is to keep on dropping to zero and the computer shuts down. Is my power supply circuit of the faulty laptop? Thank you for your responses.

Hi, Your battery seems to be dead because you do not put the laptop into standby or hibernate when not in use, I suppose so. You can use your laptop for 1.5 hours, most laptops do with use. When you plug the AC LED will light, indicating that the battery is charging, but again the counter will continue to decline until it reaches zero, then the laptop shuts off, what is normal and the battery died, but how the battery die when you have the power connected and is in charge, I do not understand. Or do you mean the adapter been replaced and is not the one to go right to the configuration of portable power. (How much energy the need laptop) But you already correct. I think your adapter is faulty, but then it would not power the laptop. 1. Try running the laptop without battery connected, it must do because the supply is connected to the laptop. 2. Try to see if the battery is charging when the computer device is turned off. Otherwise, I have no suggestions. Back at the base that people say to buy a new battery or adapter.
