Navigation receivers from Pioneer and cards?
I look at some of the dashboard in navigation units, Pioneer, and I'm loving what I see. My only concern is about the cards: the majority of their units do not need navigation discs, he said, because the cards are on the flash memory. But what about updating the maps? It comes in a sort of automated service, or do I still use disks to update the cards? Also, if I manually update the maps, is there a service I can subscribe to do for me? I see that some of their work units with XM NavTraffic or MSN Direct, the two conditions of the road to provide real-time, but what about the road … availability (I'll call it)? Do one these services to update the maps themselves?
The base map is stored on an internal disk, so you had to update the maps out. Not a big problem because they also give you instructions which are easy to do with the updates for the bridge. XM NavTraffic you must subscribe to services, and if they do not update their maps, then you're stuck because you receive their cards, but a satellite.
