“how to wire hid lights to vehicle roof”.Is a harness with special connectors needed?
most wiring harnesses are too short. Are there any that are long enougth for roof mounting as I don’t want to splice on wire to get the extra length?
They are really not intended to go on a roof. You will have to lengthen the wires because they just don’t make them that long. You can’t splice the ones between the ballast and the light though. This creates and obstacle in mounting them. They are usually weather tight but I still wouldn’t want to leave them exposed.
