Is there a specification for cleanliness of heat sink modules or electronic assemblies?
We are refurbishing a chopper module for the rail industry. Our customer would like us to provide a specification on cleaning. The question is How clean does it need to be? We can’t completely disassemble the unit for fear of damage so there are some places that are not being cleaned to “Like New”. I am looking for some guidelines, Mil specs, or standards that would be applicable.

I could not find anything on actual cleaning spec. however this web site has operating specs and lots of pictures.
