What is the difference between a 4GB memory card and a 4GB High Capacity memory card?
Can someone KNOWLEDGEABLE please explain what the difference is between a 4 GB memory card and a 4 GB High Capacity memory Card. Cut the jargon, circle logic, and buzz words too. Because to me a 4″x4″x4″ box can hold not one more golf ball than an ultra extra high capacity mega 4″x4″x4″ box.
And a gigabyte is a specific unit of measurement.
I don’t believe that there are any full spec 4 GB cards that aren’t HC. The previous (FAT 16) specification maxed out at 2 GB. The HD (SDA 2.00) (FAT 32) specification has a limit of 32 GB. Beyond that, there is an SDXC spec. There are also several classes of HD cards. They differ primarily in data transfer speed.
