What is the difference between a ham radio …. a shortwave radio …. and a CB radio?? Are there others?
types too? Is one of these still use Morse code communication style?
An amateur radio or amateur radio is another form of radio communication where the radio operator must have a license to transmit on frequencies or bands permission. A shortwave radio receiver is a HF (high frequency) receiving between 3.000 to 30.000 kHz. shortwave radio received its name because the wavelengths in this band are shorter than those used for Frequency middle and lower first used for radio communications. Many broadcasters around the world are here, like the famous BBC Voice of America. A CB is a transceiver that operates in the band of 11 meters (27 MHz). This form of communication is open to all and is regularly used by truckers. There are other types such as the Marine Radio, used by boats, ships, and Coast Guard. There is GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service) which is used by authorized individuals and businesses. FRS (Family Radio Service) is a bit like cb which is open to all but the radios use the output power very low. Yes, amateur radio and short wave CW and can not use another code.
