LCD computer used as a TV?
I try to use my old computer LCD monitor as a cup. v. Conversion box cheapest I've found was 150. but my question is Do I really need it. because I found on my DVD player that connects to my cable has an output port S-video What if I were to buy a male to male cable hook S-Video adapter VGA to S-Video and then connect the adapter to a female to female VGA connector and the connector on my monitor, then use a digital cable composite the audio and surround sound system with a link. It would in principle be dvd output port S-Video player —-> S-Video cable male Male Adapter —–> VGA to S-Video female ——-> Women ——- gender changer VGA> LCD monitor. Is this possible or should I go with the converter box?
