G10 … fantastic Canon camera, small enough, a large freedom of creation, 15 million pixels with a large lens. All midrange Canon allows creative freedom to some extent. All are equipped rechargeable batteries. The Canon "Live View" … what you will get displayed on the LCD screen …. the Nikon D40 does NOT have Live View.
