Do the universal remote controlls for ceiling fans work OK and are they relatively easy to install for an?
The ceiling fan I currantly have came with no remote control.
I saw a universal remote at a home improvement store and wonder if it will operate my fan OK and if would be relatively easy to install?
I have had many universal remotes in an effort to reduce the staggering number of remotes I have (everything has a remote now) and one thing is true to almost all of them you buy the remote and it works on everything EXCEPT the component you bought the remote for of course you only find this out after spending 20min trying to program the remote.
I bought myself a Harmony universal remote form LG and it is the best remote I have ever tried. This remote is programed by plugging it into your computer and the software asks you what you want to control and presto it automatically programs the remote. If any remote is going to work this line will and as a bonus it will control all your TV’s, DVD, satilite, ECT…..
