Sore throat on left side?
I know this sounds weird but here goes. Last night I was eating supper, I hiccuped at that same time I was eating my food. It was a real stron hiccup. I heard this pop on the left side of my throat/neck. Shortly after I had only what I can describe as a charly horse in that same area. It hurt really bad to swallow last night, today it is about 40% better today. When I touch the area where the pop was it is tender to the touch?
I don’t have any trouble breathing but it does hurt when I go to drink or swallow food.
Is it possible to pop something in the trachea itself or does anyone have any idea what may have happened?
I called the on duty nurse for my insurance company just to be on the safe side and she was thinking maybe I burped so hard at the same time I was getting ready to swallow and may have
strained or pulled something in that area.
