Can you use a 12v car charger to power a 14 v dvd player through the dc plug in?
I am borrowing my dad’s dvd player for a trip and need to use a car charger. I have a 12v car charger and the house charger for the dvd player says 14v. Will the car charger work on the dvd player without breaking it.
Your DVD player will be okay. The trick is not to use a higher voltage than the one specified on the DVD player.
The DVD may work on the lower voltage but may not. You’ll have to plug it in and see.
