Is there an adaptor that connects DVI & audio from PC and outputs through a single HDMI?
I want to hook up my PC to my HDTV with HDMI and get sound from the TV since I don’t have a home theatre sound system .
I have a DVI to HDMI adaptor but that only for video and I was wondering if there is some kind of adaptor that can connect my computer’s DVI and audio together so they can output both through one HDMI so I can get video and audio from the TV.
Or any other ideas are welcome as well.
I forgot to add that my PC has digitial DVI output and digital audio output (SPDIF)
Most TVs (if not all) have at least one HDMI input that accepts a separate analog audio for just this reason – to support DVI connections. So check your TV’s manual and see how you can input separate audio.
The options are:
an HDMI connector with separate audio next to it
An HDMi connector, but audio via the “PC” audio port
An HDMI connector, but audio via the composite audio port.
