Antenna Yaesu
Cable for HAM station?

Hi there. I have a yaesu ft-857d and the distance from the antennas is about 40meters (130ft). This model has 2 slots one for HF and one for V/U. I dont know very much about cable loss so is there anyone who can tell me what is the right cables for my station? Someone suggested me the classic RG-58 but I really need a second opinion.
Thanks a lot. 73’s

RG-8 is much better than RG-58. The only feed line with less loss than RG-8 is a ladder line, and they are a lot of trouble, so RG-8 is the one you want.
