How do I set my 102-inch whip CB antenna?
I have a 1997 Chevy Malibu. I have a CB radio with a 20-inch cable that crosses my trunk under my taillight under my car. I had a piece of metal screwed into my frame Bumber back on the right side. when the hook i my SWR tuner it reads 10.0 on all 40 channels I do not end with the 102-inch whip antenna and idk what to do.
sounds like a problem of grounding, make sure the antenna and radio are grounded. www.eham.com and other sites have excellent articles on setting up a Mobile proper installation, land, etc. 102-inch whip, once you get it squared away should be a satellite killer.
